A Dead City game about a guy who winds up in a post-apocalyptic world and has to kill the undead with his bare hands. Sounds simple enough, right? WRONG. This is one of the scariest games I’ve ever played, and it’s not even close to being over. Survive the apocalypse as a Monster Hunter. That’s right, I’m talking about you “Monster Hunter Night 2” fanboy that hopes to own a PlayStation 4 by year's end. The people at Capcom know their horror games, and “Monster Hunter: World” is no exception. Get ready for randomly generated dungeons filled with blood-thirsty monsters. The more you fight, the stronger you become until you reach god-like status and become an opulent monster yourself. Survive the night as “The Last Hunter,” an NPC hunter that shows up during your hunt to protect those weaker than you. Defend yourself and your companions against waves of monsters using guns, swords, spears, claws, arrows and more.
The Dead City has been turned upside dead have risen. In the city of Manhattan, the streets have become a war zone as hordes of bloodthirsty zombies attack any living soul that ventures outside at night. You are John Henry Strange, rookie cop on the streets of New York City. Your job is to protect the citizens of New York from these ravenous zombies by using your deadly police skills and a high-tech watch (called a “gaunge”) to take out the undead. The gaunge lets you see in the dark and shoot murder holes in the hellish living landscape so you can run faster and better routes to safety…and then some!
